Olipa kerran pieni nälkäinen hippo. Hippo asui viidakossa muiden hippojen luona. Eräänä päivänä hippo tunsi itsensä erittäin nälkäiseksi ja se päätti lähteä etsimään jotain mahantäytettä.

Once upon a time there was a hungry hippo. The hippo lived in a jungle with other hippos. At one day the hippo felt herself very hungry and decided to go to find something which would fill her stomach.

Matkallaan hippo törmäsi vanhoihin tuttaviinsa, herra tiikeriin ja rouva flamingoon. "Päivää tiikeri, päivää flamingo, oletteko nähneet mistä täältä voisi saada ruokaa?".
- Mennäänpä kaikki yhdessä katsomaan, totesi tiikeri, ja niin matka alkoi.

On her way, Hippo met her old friends, Mr. Tiger and Mrs. Flamingo. "Hello Tiger, hello Flamingo, have you seen where I could get some food?"
- Let's all go together, said Tiger, and so they started their trip.

"Nappasinpas!", huusi hippo innoissaan. Katsokaa miten upeita ja makeita Chibejä!

"I found!" shouted Hippo. Look how gorgeous and sweet Chibis!

Tulkaa lähemmäs katsomaan! Näitä on varmasti täällä jossain lisää! Ja niin kaikki kolme katselivat ympärilleen. Ilta kävi pitkäksi ja etsiminen rasitti kovasti. Niinpä ystävykset päättivät palata kotiin nukkumaan. Seuraavan kerran päätettiin tavata viikonloppuna miitissä.

Come closer to look! I'm sure there's going to be more here! And so they all looked around and tried to find something to eat. The evening was long and all three were tired. So they decided to go home to get some sleep. They decided to see each other in a meeting during next weekend.

Seuraavana viikonloppuna vertailtiinkin viikon hyviä saaliita. Hippo esitteli koko repertuaarin: maha olikin täynnä kaiken maailman blingblingiä.

Next weekend they were comparing what they have caught during the week. The hippo had the best repertoire: the stomach was full of all kinds of blingbling.

Chibimetsäkin oli palanut ennalleen, joten kaikki kolme kaverusta viettivät ihanan illan metsässä kauniiden vihreiden kukkien kukkiessa ja menivät illalla onnellisina kotiin. Sen pituinen se.

The chibi forest was as before, so all three friends had a wonderful evening in the forest where the green flowers were blooming. In the evening they went happily home. And they lived happily ever after.
